Nineteen Forty Four

It turns out the SD cards have a little slide-y thing on the side that keeps certain computers (mine) from reading the card. All you have to do is slide the little gray rectangle and boom! Pictures all of a sudden show up on your computer that weren't there before. Weird. So I got our pictures! but then I totally forgot to bring my camera again last night, so I took some not so awesome pictures with the Iphone.

From two days ago:

you can tell what wall i did because after a certain point i'm too short to reach!

Yesterday we were blessed to have some helpers! My Honeypie's mom, sister, and brother, as well as my two youngest sisters, youngest brother, and my mom. I hardly had to do a thing!

[caption id="attachment_63" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="yeah, the next couple pics are blurry for sure"][/caption]

[caption id="attachment_64" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="she wouldn't hold still long enough for a decent picture"][/caption]

[caption id="attachment_67" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="Mom-in-law, sis-in-law"][/caption]

[caption id="attachment_68" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="bro-in-law--didn't want his picture taken. too bad!"][/caption]

Underneath the linoleum rug (yes, it's true. they are ugly as sin, but protected the wood very well) in one  of the bedrooms we found old newspapers from 1944 and 1957. Here's a peek:

Awesome, right? My mom's favorite was this:

Like every teenage girl she loved Elvis. Personally, I think his face looks too squishy. Ew.

So my plan with some of these newspapers is to frame them and have a wall with them all hanging up. Maybe in the dining room. They are a dream for sure.
